Flags Over Ponca City is a patriotic subscription service performed by local scouts.
On 5 major flag-flying holidays during your subscription year, scouts will place a flag in your yard at dawn, in a pre-installed sleeve, and then retrieve the flag at dusk. By participating in Flags Over Ponca City, you will help instill values in the community by supporting the growth of scouts in Ponca City.
Upon subscribing, a plastic sleeve will be placed in your yard, and a your curb will be marked with a fleur de lis design. The sleeve will be flush with the ground requiring no maintenance on your part and will not interfere with mowing. An American flag will be posted at dawn and retired before dusk on five national flag flying days:
Memorial Day
Flag Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Veteran’s Day
There is an annual recurring service fee of $50 that covers all five holidays.
Service will begin on the first holiday after sign up.
There is a limited number of subscriptions available for the Flags Over Ponca City program, and slots will fill up quickly. We will open up more slots as they become available. This program is only available in Ponca City Limits at this time.
